Prestice Black-Pied pig is a native breed originating in western Bohemia. It is characterized by good reproductive properties and a high degree of adaptability to breeding conditions, resistance to external environmental conditions and nutrition. The aim of the article is to describe the development of breeding and production characteristics of this breed and compares it with other pig breeds in the Czech Republic.
