The aim of paper is to analyse the influence environment hygiene of calves keeping in individual hutches on the incidence of calf diarrhea during milk nutrition period during two-year monitoring. There was assessed the cleanliness of rearing environment and body surface of 60 calves in a total of 10 body regions (a modified scale by Reneaua). There was proved the relationship between the inci­dence of calf diarrhea and hygiene level of calf rearing in hutches in monitored farm. The cleanliness of the body surface reflect the level of calf hygiene rearing environment. Contamination of the distal parts of the limbs and ventral abdomen directly related to the wet and contaminated bed, respectively the floor of the enclosure.
