Abstract

The paper is focused on the analysis of selected bioclimatic indicators of breeding environment (temperature and relative humidity, temperature-humidity climate) in two sheepfolds during the winter housed sheep in the period 2008-2011 in terms of thermal comfort of ewes and lambs. Sheepfold I is wooden stable with insulated roof, sheep-fold II is a new building with walls of concrete blocks and uninsulated roof coverings with illuminated elements. Based on the selected indicators of breeding environment we can say that sheepfold I provides a significantly better long-term balanced conditions of breeding environment for ewes, yearlings and rearing lambs especially compared to the sheepfold II.
