Abstract

The aim of the work was to compare selected 4 hybrids, grown under the same conditions on a special-purpose farm Institute of Animal Science (IAS) around Prague in 2018 to 2020. In 2018 there was little precipitation in the growing season, 2019 was average and in 2020 it rained the most in ten years. Early to medium early hybrids with FAO 240 (DKC3872) to 270 (DKC3575), with grain type intermediate to fl int, were included in the experiment. The highest dry matter yield of whole plants was in hybrids DKC3450 and DKC3575 (22.7 t/ha). The highest dry matter yield of corn cobs (13.5 t/ha) was in 2020 for the hybrid DKC3575, the lowest in 2018 for the DKC3872 (10.1 t/ha). The share of cobs was the highest in 2019 for the hybrid DKC3575 (55.9%) and the lowest for DKC3568 (49.1%). The highest digestibility of NDF (54.7%) and organic matter (76.5%) was in the hybrid DKC3568, the lowest in DKC3575 (47.8%, 70.4%, respectively).
