Abstract | The objective of this study was to estimate the impact of growth intensity of Czech Fleckvieh heifers during the rearing period on their further reproduction and milk performance. There were observed weights, reproduction parameters of 2019 heifers and consequently cows from four farms, at 1st, 2nd and 3rd meantime, and then their milk production parameters at 1st, 2nd and 3rd lactation. Analyses were carried out using the GLM procedure (linear model with fixed effects) in programme SAS 9.1. The results of the effect of growth intensity of heifers during the rearing period showed that the average daily gain lower than 920 g is suitable for their better reproduction efficiency. However, for higher milk performance is necessary to achieve average daily gain at least 701 g. On the basis of these findings is possible to recommend average daily gain of heifers during the rearing period from 701 to 920 g. |
