Abstract | The aim of the trial was to determine the effect of dietary fat on reproduction parameters: number of corpora lutea and number of embryos. Forty crossbred gilts were divided into four groups and fed with control (C) feed mixture, linseed diet (L-7 % of ground linseed), sunflower diet (S-5 % of sunflower seeds) or mixture with 1 % of conjugated linoleic acid addition (CLA). There was not found a significant difference in the number of corpora lutea among groups (P>0,05) but it was the highest in CLA group (16,40 ± 2,80). The highest number of embryos was also in CLA group. Percentage of fertilized oocytes (recovery rate) was calculated from total number of corpora lutea and total number of embryos. The highest rate of fertilization was found in C group (58,12 %) and in CLA group (54,44 %). The results were not statistically significant (P>0,05) but the tendency towards better reproduction performance was found in gilts fed with feed mixture with CLA addition. |
