The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between health of hoof and length of calving interval with production and economic indicators of dairy herd. Amount (% of cows) and the frequency of the hoof disease grows with the parity and level of milk yield and even with a longer calving interval. Among farms was found great variability. Most diseases of the hoof was found in the first, second and fifth month of lactation. These quantities of disease was affected the frequency of hoof treatment (hoof trimming). Analysis of fertility indicators showed that herds with the longest calving interval (>430 days) achieved the highest milk production, but also the highest percentage of diseases of the hoof. Fertility and diseases of the hoof are the traits with low heritability and therefore particularly good herd management and prevention can reduce the percentage of animals culling for low fertility and hoof diseases.
