Abstract

In recent years, the production of bovine milk has increased worldwide, on average in the 27 EU countries and also in the Czech Republic, where in 2019 it was 3 billion liters, i.e. 8.471 liters of milk per cow per year. The Czech Republic is self-sufficient in milk production in the long term, which is also the reason for the relatively high exports of raw milk. The evaluated dairy farms (108 in 2019) showed almost the same production results as the average for the Czech Republic, which confirms the representativeness of the sample analyzed. The results of evaluated farms markedly differed according to their yearly milk sales per cow, used breed and production area. The identified variability of different indicators shows the opportunity for their further improvement.
