Abstract

The paper deals with the production of milk in Switzerland after a period of abolition of milk quotas. Cancellation of milk quotas in Switzerland began May 1, 2006, followed by a three-year transitional period. Between 2009 and 2013 reduced the number of dairy cows in Switzerland by approximately 2.2%, the number of milk producers and farm price. From accounting records in companies with dairy cows results in an average loss of milk production in all natural areas, while deteriorating conditions the loss increases. The high cost (approximately 21.56 CZK in lowland area) does not pay high purchase price (13.64 to 14.30 CZK) and received direct payments (4.40 to 12.76 CZK).
