In recent years, the application of thermal imaging technology in case of human and veterinary diseases became one of the useful tools in scienti fic sphere. Data collected thanks to this technology are provided non-invasively and reliably if the technical settings are correctly set. Mainly due to the current epidemiological situation, its use has proven to be a valuable tool for disease diagnose in human practice. However, its application in veterinary medicine is still limited. Thanks to the decreasing acquisition claims of this technique, its more frequent inclusion in veterinary field is expected in the future. Nevertheless, its application raises certain issues that need to be clarified.
