Abstract | The effect of economic parameters changes (change of ±40 % for the market price of milk, cheese, lamb, change of ±20 % for feed, fixed, veterinary and labour costs and a change of +3 % for discount rate) on calculated the economic weights of dairy sheep bred in the Slovak Republic was analyzed by bio-economic model. Results are presented for milk yield per lactation, conception rate of ewes, litter size and production lifetime of ewes. Market prices were the most important factor which affected the economic weights. The relative importance of functional traits reached 45.4-59.7 %, milk production traits from 30.6 to 48.1 %, growth characteristics from 6.3 to 9.4 % and the wool does not exceed 0.3 %. |
