Abstract

„The aim of methodology was verify existence of polymorphisms in selected candidate lipogenic genes in the population of Czech Fleckvieh, optimize methodology for the determination of these polymorphisms, determine the frequency of alleles and genotypes, quantify relationship genotype and phenotype representation of fatty acids in adipose tissue. Another objective was to formulate the possibility of using these results when editing the breeding program of Czech Fleckvieh with regard to improving parameters of quality meat.
Were verified and modified methods of determination of 9 polymorphisms located in 7 candidate genes affecting metabolism of lipid. Frequency desirable genotypes in tested population expected medium to high heritability of fatty acids along with favorable genetic correlations to other utility features of cattle and verifiable impact on representation of important fatty acids give to presupposition for using these SNP as genetic markers for potential selection for meat.“
