Abstract | The relationships between fertility of dams and their daughters were analyzed in 303406 Holstein cows. Parameters of reproduction (days open (SP), 1st service to conception interval (PSI), 3.8 % fat and 3.2 % protein corrected milk (FPCM)) at 1st lactation of cows were collected. The effects of average length of dam?s days open (SPP) and dam?s service to conception interval in the 1st calving interval (PSI1) on fertility of daughters were analyzed. A multi-factorial analysis of variance (CORR and GLM procedures) was used. Close relationships between dam?s SPP was proved, correlation coefficients were estimated from r=0.26 to 0.43. Significant differences of SP between the groups of daughters assigned to groups according to dam?s SPP were 15.6 days in 1st, 13.9 in 2nd and 11.9 in 3rd calving interval. Moderate correlations (r=0.32 to 0.50) were estimated between the PSI1 of dams and SP of daughters in the 1st to 3rd calving interval. The closest correlation 0.41 was found in 1st calving. |
