Abstract

The functional sample represents a world-unique testing facility for simultaneous evaluation of fermentation process quality and aerobic stability of ensiled forages and TMR under different temperature conditions. The equipment contains two independent climate-controlled chambers (each 12.96 m³) with Sinclair SIH-09BIR air conditioning units enabling temperature setting from -10 °C to +40 °C with ± 0.5 °C accuracy. The key innovation is simultaneous comparative testing of the same material under different temperatures, which eliminates the time variable and increases the scientific validity of results. The equipment uses a dual system of temperature sensors Thermochron DS1922L and AeroStabil-25013 with WiFi for continuous monitoring. Functionality was demonstrated during TMR stabilizer testing with 60 samples and 4320 data points. It has high economic potential in silage additive development and feed storage optimization.
