| Abstract | Utility model CZ 39156 U1 (registered 27 January 2026, filed 10 November 2025) protects a device for the simultaneous testing of the effect of temperature on fermentation quality and aerobic stability of ensiled forages and total mixed rations (TMR). The device consists of two independent climate-controlled chambers with separate temperature regulation (range MINUS SIGN 10 oC to +40 oC, accuracy +-0.5 oC), each with a volume of 12.96 m3 and a capacity of up to 60 vacuum-sealed bags. The key innovation is the ability to test identical material simultaneously under different temperature conditions, thereby eliminating the effect of the time variable and sample ageing. The device employs a dual sensor system – battery-powered temperature sensors for measuring fermentation in sealed vacuum bags, and 16-channel WiFi sensors for continuous monitoring of aerobic stability with remote access via a web portal. The technical solution was invented by Ing. Radko Loučka, CSc., and is owned by the Institute of Animal Science, v. v. i., Prague-Uhříněves. |
