The methodology extends and completes knowledge of current practices for the proper collection, storage, and eventual treatment of colostrum for feeding newborn calves to provide their immune equipment and reduce the risk of transmission of infectious diseases. It describes on-farm possibilities of rapid and effective evaluation of the quality of colostrum, which is one of the basic pillars of ensuring good calf health during their rearing. The methodology contains a pictorial attachment as a practical guide.
