The Scientific Committee for Animal Nutrition was established in 2002 as an advisory body of the food safety coordination group. Its main task is to prepare scientific studies, offer expert views, and prepare proposals for measures ensuring safety throughout the entire chain of food and feed production. It cooperates with another three scientific boards. The board’s views are used as independent scientific points of reference for experts preparing legal regulations in the European union. Members of the board are leading experts from universities, research institutes and companies active in the field of animal nutrition. Information on the board’s activities is available at: www.vuzv.cz
