Abstract

In this study, we analyzed polymorphisms in candidate genes for milk production and somatic cell score in the dual- purpose breed Czech Fleckvieh cattle. Due to their biological function the TLR4, CXCR1 and Leptin are potential markers for the udder health and milk production. The aim of this study was to investigate the associations between polymorphism of TLR4, CXCR1 and Leptin genes and milk yield, milk composition and somatic cell score. Only polymorphism of TLR4 had a significant impact on somatic cell score. Regarding the milk production and milk composition, we observed a relationship with these traits overall studied SNPs.
