Abstract

The intake of sufficient quantity of pasture vegetation with good quality by hens greatly increases the concentration of valuable substances, especially lutein, zeaxanthin, vitamin E and beta carotene in yolk. Simultaneously, oxidative stability of eggs increases. The lack of energy and amino acids and the wrong ratio of these components is the most common problem in case of grazing. The addition of rapeseed oil ensures the necessary concentration of the metabolizable energy in mixed feed. Mixed feed must be dosed so that the hens grazed, but also had enough of nutrients. The methodology provides new information about how to reach the production of eggs, which by its quality greatly exceed the normal eggs from intensive farming.
