Abstract

The aim of the methodology is to introduce with the possibilities of using by-products of the brewing and malting industry in livestock production. They include dough (brewer’s grains), brewer’s yeast and malt flower. They have been a part of livestock feed for a long time, but their composition, storage and processing technology, logistics of their distribution to the consumer and, last but not least, their use in animal nutrition have changed. A contract on the application of the presented methodology was signed between the Institute of Animal Science, v.v.i. Prague Uhříněves and the company MRÁZ AGRO CZ, s.r.o. Blatná, which is the main supplier of by-products for the brewing industry in the Czech Republic, is about 400 primary agricultural enterprises.
