Abstrakt

For somatic cell nuclear transfer cytoplasts from metaphase II oocytes are exclusively used. It is, however, evident that certain reprogramming activities are present in oocytes even at earlier stages of maturation. We have characterised these activitiesby fusing fully grown and growing oocytes.
