Economics of health in dairy cattle herds
The animal health status affects the production, welfare and efficiency of breeding the sick animal as well as the overall farm. Particularly in the case of more frequent dairy cattle diseases such mastitis and claw diseases/disorders, their economic impact is considerable. The possibility for eliminating its occurrence in the farm is, besides the improving the farm environment and regular zooveterinary control, also breeding.
