Abstract | The aim of this study was to find out relationships (correlations) existing between individual types of maize hybrids (early vs. medium early), type of maturity (stay-green and uniformly maturing), type of endosperm (floury vs. glassy), type of use (silage vs. grain), yields, length of the growth cycle, season, and nutritional value of some chosen maize hybrids. Field experiments involved altogether 9 hybrids (showing FAO 230 – FAO 320 category of maturity) and were performed in Troubsko and Prague-Uhříněves for a period of three years. As far as the types of hybrids and other parameters were concerned, the correlation coefficients were always lower than 0.29. A higher (P |
