On 7.6.2022 a workshop entitled Management of dairy cattle herds under precision farming conditions was held at Institute of Animal Science. The results of the research project were presented to the professional public by the individual researchers of this project. Topics of presentations given at workshop touched on number of professional areas and current problems of Czech agricultural practice – cattle reproduction, indication of negative energy balance in cows in the early phase of lactation, use of data from various types of automatic sensors to improve the management of dairy herds, the impact of social stress on the production of dairy cows, factors affecting the economics of milk production, etc. New knowledge from these areas has potential for further use in research, but also for direct application in breeding practice.
