Abstract | The aim of this study was to estimate relationship between growth rate of Holstein heifers and economically important traits. Some tendency was observed at reproduction traits where increase of live weight until 14 month was linked with reduction of reproduction ability of cows. Increase of the number of insemination per conception in heifers was 0.82. Days open differences between investigated groups of heifers in the first and second calving interval were 26.78 and 17.47 days, respectively. This trendwas also confirmed at other reproduction traits. Also production live was significantly longer at animals which had lower daily gain during their rearing period. Animals with lower daily gain had longer production live from 2.17 to 5.49 month, respectively. |
