The aim of the paper is to inform the reader about the situation of greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture and food production, although some more general aspects of climate change are also outlined in the opening paragraphs. The graphs were compiled using extensive databases from the Our World in Data website (https://ourworldindata.org). This is a project of the Global Change Data Lab, a UK non-profit organisation whose mission is to publish ‚research and data to make progress against the world’s largest problems‘.
