The objective of the present study was to compare feed efficiency, growth intensity and carcass characteristics of Aberdeen Angus, Gascon, Holstein and Czech Fleckvieh bulls. The highest feed intake was observed in Holstein bulls, while the lowest feed conversion ratio was found in Czech Fleckvieh bulls. Whereas Gascon bulls exhibited the most favourable results of carcass conformation and fatness as well as the highest killing-out proportion, the lowest values were achieved by Holstein bulls.
