Abstract

Nuclear transfer involves the transfer of genetic material from a donor cell to a recipient cell from which its genetic material has been removed. Typically, a mature oocyte is a recipient and its cytoplasmic environment seems to the most efficient millieu that can reprogram the somatic cell.
