The genetic trend in the current traits included in the selection index (CPH) of dam pig breeds of Czech large white and Czech landrace was presented, as well as the various variants for the extension of the existing CPH by new selection criteria of dam breeds. New functional traits of pigs were taken into account when revision of the selection criteria in dam pig breeds was presented.
