Abstract

Red clover (Trifolium pratense L. – Chlumecký variety, diploid) was harvested in 3 cuts in 2011. Various growth parameters and chemical composition were determined. Was found a high correlation (r = -0,87) between the values of neutral detergent fibre (NDF) content and crude protein (CP) content. In vitro dry matter digestibility (DMD) was determined on selected samples. Content of NDF was found to be highly correlated with DMD (r = -0,91).
