Abstract

Number of piglets weaned per sow and year is the internationally recognized criterion of reproduction performance. In our country 85 percent of piglets production is provided by insemination, that makes possible to use sires with high breeding value. Theother advantages for animal husbandry result from it as well (genetic gain, industrialization of pig breeding, better health state and economic gain). The work describes the suitable indicators for evaluation of insemination results.
