Abstract

Managed cyclic sheep grazing for regeneration of 50 years abandoned mountain meadow was investigated from the year 2001 in KRNAP locality Klínové boudy (1200-1220 m height above sea level). Stocking rates were in the 1st and the 2nd year 1,3 and 1,8 AU/ha, respectively. After 2 seasons of monitoring sheep permanent concern in grasses was discovered and simultaneusly sheep manifested quick adaptation to new plant species. In higher stocking rate a decrease of grazing preferences was determined.
