Abstract | The aim of this study was to find out the relationship between the different ways of milking and milk quality of sheep on the basis of the determination of selected microbiological parameters (total bacterial counts, the number of total coliforms, the number of Escherichia coli) of milk. In the three farms of sheep were milked twenty ewes during the lactation period. The first group (20 ewes) was milked by hand and second group (20 ewes) was milked by milking machine. Milk samples were collected once a month. The experimental data were analyzed by analysis of covariance in the programme Statistica. Milk samples of machine milked sheep had significantly higher total bacterial count and total coliform bacteria in compared with milk samples of hand milked sheep. |
