Abstract

In our study, the role of the growing oocyte nucleoli in oocyte maturation was examined by nucleolus removal and/or transfer into previously enucleolated, growing or full-grown oocytes. Our results suggest that the growing oocyte nucleolus is involved in the oocyte meiotic arrest.
