The methodology represents a basic prerequisite for the routine estimation of genomic breeding values of sperm quality traits (6 traits in total) and libido of boars in the local population of dam and sire breeds of pigs involved in the national breeding program CzePig and their subsequent aplication in selection. The proposed genomic evaluation procedure is completely new in the conditions of the Czech Republic, and the use of SNP data information has not yet been used for routine estimation of breeding values of pigs. The genetic and genomic evaluation of boar libido was carried out for the first time in the domestic pig population. The introduction into the routine prediction of breeding values is based on world knowledge in the field of pig breeding as well as the needs of genetic development of traits and evaluation of local pig population.
