The article is aimed on the characteristics and history of the breed Přeštice Black Pied pig. The breed has a good reproductive characteristics and a high degree of adaptability and resistance to external environmental conditions. The breed has combined utility type – meat and fat, it has higher layer of backfat. The breed is also characterized by a medium body frame, very solid constitution and excellent resistance to stress. Its color is black and white, without defining body parts for black and white. Boars reach 260-280 kg of body weight, sows 215-235 kg.
