Abstract

The application of the oxyhumolite sorbent to the litter used for broilers in amount of 0.9 kg.m-2 reduced the emissions of ammonia measured at 22 and 28 days of chickens? age by 38.67 and 20.82 %, respectively. A lower efficiency observed at 28 days wasdue to a partial saturation of humine acids. In addition, live weight of birds from the experimental group increased by 3.6 % and the overall production efficiency by 7.09 %. Before the preparation is recommended for practical use, higher dosages of thesorbent should be tested with respect to the acquirement of positive economic parameters of production.
