Abstract

Optimal environmental conditions are essential for animals to reach their genetic potential. Biosekurity as an integral part of herd health management is an important requirement for the production of healthy and biologically wholesome raw materials and foodstuffs of animal origin. There was collected and analysed the precautions to prevent the penetration of infectious agents into farm (towards animals) by persons, animals, technological systems and equipment (housing, feeding and watering, milking, excrements handling), transport and the farm sanitation. The creation an individual plan of biosekurity is focused with a view to reduce the probability of transmission diseases both in any one farm and or between different farms.
