In the Czech Republic, 5 approved devices are currently used for the grading pig carcasses. One of the most used devices is the Danish FOM which has been replaced by a new generation called FOM II in the world. As part of the NAZV project, a total of 1,201pig carcasses were experimentally classified using both devices in two slaughterhouses in the Czech Republic in 2022. The obtained results supported the necessity of performing the calibration of FOM II to the conditions of Czech slaughterhouses.
