Abstract

The changes brought about by legislation can have unforeseeable consequences, and not just those intended by legislators. We can only hope that these changes are considered, that they are not only caused by the pressure of activists, who often act without knowledge of the context and sometimes with an absence of common sense. It would be good if it continued to be the case that sensibly run agriculture is the best thing we can do for the environment. Although we have a united Europe, various ecological restrictions are united, but the reality is different in different countries. And if environmental policy also follows the path where misguided ideology prevails over common sense, it could happen that we will not benefit the living environment, but harm pig farming, which is of irreplaceable importance to us. And we should take this into account when fulfilling environmental directives.
