Scientific and research activities of the Institute of Animal Science (IAS) are focused mainly on animal welfare, quality animal nutrition, food safety and the validation of new technologies in relation to ongoing climate changes. In connection with scientific and research activities there is an effort to bring agricultural production closer to the public. The experimental farm of the IAS allows research of current problems of animal husbandry, the quality of their production and the verification of technologies. The experimental farm provides conditions and facilities mainly for the research of dairy and beef cattle, pigs, poultry, rabbits, sheep, horses and deer. Plant production is also an important part of this farm to provide feeds for livestock.
