The paper is focused on the analyses of potential risk factors involved in the spread of resistant bacteria in pig farms and the importance of preventive measures of management, prophylaxis and biosecurity for maintaining the good health of pigs as a significant prerequisite for reducing the consumption of antimicrobials.
